Hiroshima University is a national university located in Higashi-Hiroshima City in Western Japan. Hirodai is the shortened name in Japanese for the university and is translated from Hiroshima Daigaku - or Hiroshima University. The university is home to around 15,000 students and approximately 3,000 staff with the campus located in a rural setting in Hiroshima Prefecture countryside. The university has 11 faculties, with the two best known ones being Medicine and Education. In 2019, the university is celebrating its 90th year and its motto is - Try New Things, Do New Things!
